You didn9t want speakers and lectures, you wanted hands-on workshops and training from the best educators in the Joomlaverse. We have taken the feedback of the hundreds of respondents and created a tailored training event, we call it our Joomla University!

What is Joomla University?

It is a flexible one day session-based training where you can pick and choose what workshops you wanted to attend. Each workshop is 3 hours and taught by a world renowned Joomla expert. The Joomla University has multiple sessions so you can pick the ones that meet YOUR needs.

Each session is limited to just 12 students!

What Sessions are Being Offered?

There are six 3 hour sessions being offered in the morning and afternoon.

All sessions will have their main focus on Joomla 1.5. Trainers will be referring to the 1.0.X series of Joomla where appropriate.

When is it?

The first Joomla University will be in Chicago on Saturday May 17th. This is the day after the Joomla EXPO 2008 hosted by the JoomlaChicago Group.

Where is it?

Training will be held in the state of the art technology classrooms right next to the Joomla Chicago EXPO location. In fact, the hotel of the EXPO and the classrooms are literally across a parking lot!

Price

Each three hour session is $249. You can use the Eventbrite booking form to mix and match your sessions to best meet your Joomla training needs.

Additional Information

There are courtesy refreshments available (Caffeine and sugar for your brain) during the day. There are a number of locations available nearby for lunch including the Renaissance Chicago O9Hare Suites Hotel.

Most of the trainers will be socializing in the hotel during Saturday evening. Everyone is welcome to join us to chat in a more informal setting!

Although computers are available, we recommend that all students bring a laptop with a working localhost environment. Further requirements might be given by class teachers as needed.
